Over the next week we’ll be publishing a series of videos taken from interviews with the school children from Gaelscoil Eoghain Ui Thuairisc in Carlow who participated in the pilot of the MissionV programme last year. We’re very grateful to Conn Ó Muíneacháin at Edgecast Media for filming and producing this series – http://edgecast.ie/
In this first video we asked the students whether they thought of MissionV as a lesson or a game.

Mary Ann is President at Blueprints for Learning, Inc. and has previously been Associate Professor at Manhattanville College and Assistant Superintendent at Hanover Park Regional High School District.
Our conversation started when she tweeted about Rhizomatic Learning, …

Last week, the Irish Symposium on Game-Based Learning (iGBL) was held at Waterford Institute of Technology. It featured over 16 presentations on Game-Based learning with a fantastic keynote presentation by Michael Hallissy of the Digital Hub. There was so much energy and commitment to change in our education system in evidence at a later round table discussion, it was totally inspiring.
